Jargon Ninja is a special service of cehwiedel – freelance commercial writing.
Jargon Ninja is me: Shelley Henderson. I graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Southern California (USC) with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. I left California for Cambridge, Massachusetts, and stayed long enough to earn a master’s degree in electrical engineering & computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
I am “the MIT engineer who writes plain English.”

I have worked in private business and at private research universities as all manner of technical support, from Unix systems administrator to network research project coordinator. I have programmed every sort of computer from super to micro to parallel cluster. I have written papers and webpages and presentations for audiences ranging from research scientists to elementary school teachers to the general readership of small weekly newspapers.
About three years ago, I went freelance.

If I’d known I was gonna live this long, I’d have taken better care of myself.
You can throw the densest technical manual at me. I can read it and rewrite it for a target readership.
